EUPHONIA FILMS
Euphonia Films is the name used to collect the work of Edinburgh-based filmmaker Ray Baker. These are in several genres but what they all have in common is a madcap creativity, a handmade aesthetic and wild experimentation. As a totally independent venture, productions tend towards micro budget but have screened at UK and International festivals. Ray also works regularly on other productions in a variety of roles, such as production designer, producer and runner. This work is collected under the 'Behind the Scenes' page of this website.
Ray Baker graduated from the Northern Film School at Leeds Beckett with a First class degree in 2021, specialising in Production Design.

'OBJECTS of desire' wins award!

Objects of Desire has won Best Student Film at the WOMEN X film awards!
'Objects of Desire' was written by Ray Baker in 2021 with the director of the film, Dorothy McCormack. It follows a woman who runs a business selling used underwear to local men. It was produced as a graduation film by the Northern Film School. In other news Ray Baker has completed a few weeks of production on the third annual 'Queen of the New Year' TV sketch show for BBC Scotland, as an art department assistant. This involved the creation of dozens of graphics, collaboriating with a larger art department to dress and strike many different locations.
